I can highly recommend PMA Personal Training. I appreciated the personalised programme of exercises for improving my mobility and stability. If you have MSK or chronic conditions which affect balance, Peter can tweak the programme to allow for 'bad days'.

I am a 78-year-old retired teacher- trained in Physical Education and English. In 2010, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, resulting in a mastectomy. At the same time, I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis in my spine.

Until 2020, I attended a weekly 1 hour keep fit session at a breast cancer support group, and I also swam 30 lengths of the local pool following an hour’s aqua-aerobics.

Because of Covid, the group disbanded, and I no longer took my weekly aqua class and swim. I walked daily 3-4 miles but I felt I needed additional physical activity.

Having looked online for personal trainers, I discovered one about 6 miles away and enquired about of his hourly rate, his qualifications, and whether he was willing to travel to my house.

His name is Peter Azzopardi and he had 20 years of experience with a Master’s Degree in Sport and Exercise Nutrition. Other qualifications enabled him to work with cardiac patients and other medical conditions including Osteoporosis. He was very diligent and professional in response to my enquiries. He is a very serious and dedicated personal trainer providing me with a printed form, on which to declare medical conditions and problems and to inform me of his terms and conditions. He also required my reasons for wanting a personal trainer, and my aspirations.

As this was during Covid, he was always extremely “ Covid aware “ –windows were open, and a through draught was always strictly adhered to. Peter wore a mask and always disinfected the equipment before leaving. He is also very considerate to change his outdoor footwear for indoor trainers when he arrives,

My objectives were to keep toned and active, to improve my balance and strength, and to lose about half a stone, which I had gained during Covid. These have all been achieved, and following my recent bone density scan, there was an improved reading of my spine, which my doctor attributes to the weight exercises I do, as part of my weekly circuit.

Peter is a dedicated, professional, and likable person. He is always punctual, and willing to accommodate any problems which one might have. He does not suffer fools gladly, but as long as you are prepared to work towards your goal, he will offer advice and help you to achieve it. Physical fitness demands energy, effort, and commitment, not giving up with “ a fractured eyelash”!!! So if you really want to improve your fitness level, he will help you achieve your aims, providing you put in the effort. I can thoroughly recommend Peter Azzopardi. Even if you are 78+ years old, it’s never too late.

I can not recommend Peter highly enough. I’ve been working with him for over three years. Initially, my goal was to get stronger to deal with back and neck pain and reduce my stress levels. We did that and we kept on going!

Peter is a fantastic trainer. He really listens to what I wanted to achieve, is incredibly patient and very motivating. I was very clear initially that I wouldn’t accept any army-style shouting by way of encouragement and we now laugh at that because he’s just not like that (sometimes he does it for a giggle just to wind me up though). Peter mixes up the work we do to ensure I don’t get bored and has lots of new things to try up his sleeve.

I’m now stronger and healthier than at any time in the last decade and my mental health is really brilliant. Most importantly I no longer treat my body like the enemy. I’ve done a lot of the work, but Peter has been there supporting me all the way through.

Great service because Peter the Personal Trainer visits your home, has such a wide range of services such as Boxercise pad work, Yoga, Kettlebells and ViPR. I find that with regular training sessions and advice on diet, I am seeing real changes to my body, more toned muscles, flatter tummy and more curves. I've dropped 3 dress sizes in 9 months and had great fun with Peter as he is very professional, approachable and non judgemental and I feel safe with him coming to my home.

I have a life threatening lung disease, after working as a Baker and inhaling flour for many years and I need to have a lung transplant. Papworth Hospital will not operate on me until I reach 16 stone 4, due to possible complications.

I started personal training with Peter just over a year ago when I weighed 22 stone 5. Peter began a twice a week home exercise program with me and has advised me on weight control via changes to my diet.

I have lost 4 1/2 stone and now weigh 17 stone 12 1/2 and I really feel that I will be down to my target weight within the next 4 months and then I can be put on the waiting list to receive my lung transplant.

Without Peter's valuable help and patience, I really don't think I would be here today. Trying to stay fit with this lung disease is really hard but he keeps me on track. Giving up would be the easy option to take. Peter makes sure I stay motivated.

Home personal training makes sense as I would never stick with a gym routine.

I highly recommend PMA Personal Training and Peter Azzopardi is your man.

I have worked out with Peter for many years following back surgery
Peter has help me find out what workouts I like, he has encouraged me and helped me go from strength to strength,
I always thought that I hated exercise, I now know I was scared of it and Peter as helped me turn that round, with understanding and encouragement
I look forward to our sessions each week
I have lost weight, toned and gained strength.
Peter is always on hand to make sure that you are exercising correctly which I found very refreshing as not all exercise instructors do this. He also carries out a very thorough health questionnaire before he takes on a new client He has even been known to advise some prospective clients to consult with their GP before their 1st session. The clients have taken this advice, and then thanked him for this as their GP has diagnosed high BP which the client was unaware off, and received treatment for. Undoubtedly a 1st class service is offered by Peter
