Meet the trainer - Peter Azzopardi

I’m Peter Azzopardi, Personal Trainer and owner of PMA Personal Training. I’ve worked in the fitness industry for over 18 1/2 years.

Between 2007 and 2015, I was an NHS Physiotherapy Assistant, responsible of running group sessions and 1:1 for back pain, weight loss, osteoarthritis and sports injuries.

In March 2015, I became fully self employed. This has enabled me to devote myself to working as an in home personal trainer in Norfolk and Suffolk.

In addition, for 13 years I’ve been a Cardiac Rehabilitation Personal Trainer in Bury St Edmunds for Upbeat Heart Support.I have also run a Kettlebell group class in Thetford for the past 4 1/2 years.

In August 2019, my fascination in nutrition and the fact that 80% of weight loss is diet related, has lead me to begin studying a Post Graduate Diploma in Sport and Exercise Nutrition.

This is a 12 month, part time programme with the IOPN and is accredited by the British Dietetic Association and can be topped up to a full Master’s Degree.

I offer full diet coaching where I’ll provide a psychometric test to assess your readiness to change and identify any barriers to weight loss. I pride myself on helping those people who do not normally enjoy regular exercise and helping them go from finding it boring to actually looking forward to and having fun in their sessions!

You will feel your clothes sizes reducing as you gain more energy and there are many other benefits to personal training in your home such as improved bone density, lowered cholesterol, improvements in blood pressure and ability to go about your every day tasks such as gardening easier.

My in-home personal training service will travel to your home in Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Thetford and other areas in Suffolk and South Norfolk. I am government approved and I hold public liability insurance to the sum of £6,000,000 and have current First Aid and Resuscitation certificates
